Position Description: 

Heavy Equipment Operators are responsible for the operation, oversight, and maintenance of heavy equipment. Some of these include, but are not limited to: excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes and skid steers.

Position Roles and Responsibilities:

• Take direction from Foreman and Project Leads.
• Delegate tasks to team members to assist in work site preparation and cleanliness.
• Responsibly operate machinery according to the safety standards and protocols of X West.
• Manage and inspect machinery and equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality on a daily basis.
• Transport materials utilizing various heavy machinery and equipment. 
• Adapt to project needs/duties.

Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years experience as heavy equipment operator.

Licenses:

• Valid and unexpired driver's license required.
• Clean driving record required.
